surviving Cancer . Then after that was over I would be given a medical pump that I had to were at home. The pump was set for chemotherapy and to pump through me for 72 hours straight! This chemotherapy treatment was very aggressive. I was scared even though I had a visitation from Jesus Christ. Sometimes I wondered if I would be able to survive cancer or would it be my time to go to heaven. I was very stressed out and my wife was not helping matters any. She was more worried about being with her damn friends than being with me. Here I am at home having chemotherapy pumped into my body and she’s worried about going to the bar or to the school to keep studying.

You know when that starts happening to you, you know your relationship is missing something! She only spent 3 or 4 days with me. She argued with me about stuff and just didn’t want to be with me anymore. Ya know the crazy thing is that I still love her and pray that if shed strive to be a better committed partner Id take her back. I forgive her for everything she has done. I know her personal background so I can overlook her childish behavior. Surviving cancer is a challenge because when you go back to work and people know that your sick they seem to treat you differently. I mean everyday I would always hear, are you okay? How are you feeling today? I mean once in awhile is okay but everyday and by different people.

The  Plus I was always harassed that I wasn’t doing my job correctly, like I have been at this for 4 years and 8 months! I only 2 months to go to get full benefits. I have never in key time there been written up for anything that's why I felt it was harassment. They said I was giving bad performance, which was a lie. Then the stupid personal office talks they would drag me into the office and say stupid things like, your not doing good today, do you think it could be because your sick? I mean hello, I just had a dangerous operation and only a year out of it, I mean hellooooo is anyone in their. Of course it might because Im sick but Im not doing any different on my job. What I recommend is to carry a digital recorder and let it record while your at work.

Then if any mistreatments occur remember the time it occurred and then you can track it from the recording and write it down! This way you will be protecting yourself, then save the recording to your computer and put it on a disk.  Be prepared if you go back to work to be looked at differently. Even your friends change on you. If you can I’d advise you take a medical leave as along as you can. This is not a sign of weakness but of wisdom! You are preserving your benefits and insurance. If they decide to fire you over being sick, you’d loose everything! Whatever cancer you had if you develop any illnesses from the after effects, I would suggest having the dr. put you on disability. I would also suggest that you gather as much information you can, from every doctor. In this way you can have the proof you need for your disability case. Get your medical records from every single doctor you were being treated by.

My health has suffered due to the chemotherapy! I have neuropathy damage, motory and sensory so I have in my hands, my wrists and fingers a constant numbing and tingling sensation, and constant pain that doesn’t go away it just subsides. I also have it worse in my toes, my feet and part of my legs. I had 2 neurologists examine everything and both got the same results. I pray that it does not deteriorate because I won’t be able to walk then. Im glad that I am a colon cancer survivor, Im glad that I am a live and surviving cancer through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Its because of Jesus that I am a cancer survivor and he is the God of Healing and I am surviving cancer!
