When Jesus was here as a human being, his main ministry besides preaching the Fathers word was healing! Jesus healed and performed Jesus miracles without end. Jesus performed many miracles while on earth so that disbelievers would come to believe in him.

The Bible says in John 5: 5-9 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the Sabbath.

The Jesus miracles where very profound and miraculous! Jesus miracles brought non-believers and healed them and then delivered them from illness and sickness and disease! Yes, Jesus heals; today! Jesus healed the blind man in Mark 8:22-25 And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him. And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.

Jesus performed many miracles, many where healed and in Mark 2 Jesus heals a man stricken with palsy. When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. But there was certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

Jesus heals today because he is unchangeable! Sometimes when we pray for Jesus to heal us we don't always get the answered prayer. I think that it's because we have unconfessed sins in our heart. When we have a lot of built up sin inside us and weighing us down our prayers are only heard and because of our unrepented sin he cannot help us as much as he would like to. Before praying your healing from Jesus, you need to get down on your knees and literally explain to God that your sorry and then confess each sin to him and ask him to forgive you, to cleanse you and to give you his strength to overcome temptations before it becomes sin.
